HAPPY NEW YEAR –

Well, considering this is the middle of January of a New Year, What does that say about me and Procrastination?
I choose to say it speaks about Commitment. Let me add, you can never be to hasty to make conclusions, especially before all the facts have been presented. Now back to my point about commitment.
The reason for this blogs being written now rather than right after the all the New Year’s confetti settled, was ‘yours truly,’  was diligently working on, not one, but two short stories with due dates which fell with in days of one another. With another project who’s deadline coming mid February, blog, will be a “two-for” to make up for lost time.
This First (short one) is to encourage my sisters, of the cloth and the guys too. The writers, who day in and pound the keys on their desktops, laptop, recording devices, dragons, or good old-fashion typewriter ( manual or electric),bringing life to the characters inside. Sharing a part of themselves with you, their audience, the readers, the caregivers of that part for them they (we hold most dear.) our characters. Their lives, and the places they come from, are almost as real to us as our own families. We know what they think and feel, we have developed intimate interrelationships with them in ways we sometimes don’t realize how it happened ( especially in a series) until its over; and the loss you feel, we feel it as well.  The happiness, the sadness, the angst along with the other Crayola box of emotions that color our world, flow from our head, through our hands to our fingers, and with any luck, touch you heart.
~Like a water drop on the still surface of a pond, the ever concentric circles ripple, expand, incessantly outward…until it reaches outer limits.
That’s what I hope our words (Authors)have done. It is what I aspire to do–to touch, just one person, then I am happy.
